Hello [M] fans!!

We are scheduled to perform on Lower Sproul this coming Monday and Tuesday (Nov. 21 and 22) for our Sproul Shows!!  Each show will run from 12-1pm.  Don’t miss this opportunity to check out ALL the [M]ovement sets that will be featured at our Showcase, which will be Dec. 2nd and 3rd.

Tickets for Showcase will go on sale AFTER Monday’s show, and will be $9.  As our Showcases have consistently been a SOLD OUT event in the past, you may want to get on your purchases as soon as possible!!  Guest performers lined up to perform on the stage as well!

Hello everyone!! We have some great information to share with you today.

First and foremost, we are having our LAST free workshop of the Fall 2011 Semester next week on Friday November 18th, from 4-7pm at Lower Sproul!  We’re really excited to see you all out there, learning some great pieces from our very own choreographers in the following lineup!

4-5pm: Jazz, taught by Hannie Dong
5-6pm: Swing, taught by Lori Nishimura
6-7pm: Hip Hop, taught by Greg and Sammy (aka, Grammy)

We’d also like to remind everyone of certain events coming up later this month and in December!  The Movement will be performing Sproul Shows on Lower Sproul in less than 2 weeks to give you all a taste of what to expect at our SHOWCASE on December 2nd and 3rd.  Expect an announcement as these events approach!!

October 21st is a [M]ovement filled day!  We will have our MONTHLY workshop from 4-7pm in front of HAAS PAVILION.  The lineup is as follows:

• 4-5pm: Hip Hop with Rebecca Lee
• 5-6pm: Swing with Allie Cohen
• 6-7pm: Jazz with Gloria Liou

We hope you can come out and dance with us, maybe as a warmup for.. MOVEMENT MIXER!!  Yep, that’s right, we will also be throwing our bi-annual Mixer THAT SAME NIGHT, from 10:30pm-2am at Chi Psi (Durant and Piedmont).

For all those who have ever been to a Movement Mixer, ya’ll should know that it’s going to be AMAZING, as it has traditionally been without fail for many years.  Tickets will be sold on Upper Sproul starting Monday 10.17.11 for $3.  Tickets at the door will be $5.  SPEAKING OF THE DOOR, remember to bring your CAL ID, as it will be REQUIRED for entry!!  See you all there!

Hello all!!  Ready to have your day made??  Good!  Because some awesome news is in order: we have our monthly FREE WORKSHOP coming up this Saturday, Sept. 24th, from 1-4pm!!  We will hopefully be situated in Lower Sproul on the UC Berkeley Campus.   However this may be subject to change, so if it does, we will likely migrate over to Upper Sproul or Haas Pavilion.  When in doubt, follow the music!  Our very own Movement Choreographers are teaching amazing Swing, Hip Hop and Jazz pieces; the schedule is as follows:

Swing 1-2pm, taught by Chad Fong

Hip Hop 2-3pm, taught by Jaymie Ngov

Jazz 3-4pm, taught by Anneke Pakvasa and Ari Ross

The [M]ovement is ready for Fall 2011, and we hope you are too!!

Right after Pre-Audition Workshops are.. you guessed it!  AUDITIONS.  They will be held on Saturday, September 3^rd, on Lower Sproul.  Here’s the quick and dirty:

> HIPHOP 1:00-4:00pm

Each genre audition piece will be collectively created by our very own lovely choreographers!
